C’est un honneur pour moi de faire partie du Bureau International de l’Institut Georges Portmann, une référence incontournable en Otorhinolaryngologique mondiale. La réputation historique de plus de 100 ans ont forgé son prestige mondial depuis la création de l’Ecole ORL de Bordeaux par le Pr Emile Moure, puis le Pr Georges Portmann, le Pr Michel Portmann et enfin le Dr Didier Portmann ; l’enseignement local et international sont un guide qu’il faut suivre.
J’ai reçu du continent asiatique, la Présidence internationale de l’Institut G. Portmann par mon prédécesseur le Dr Charles Andrew Van Hasselt qui a brillement joué son rôle de 2005-2009 à Hong-Kong.
La mise à disposition de nos compétences à tous et de nos connaissances dans notre spécialité peut ainsi être partagée immédiatement : pour cela, l’Institut en est un forum parfait, de par ses cours et séminaires.
Lors de mon séjour au sein de cette grande institution dans les années 80, j’ai acquis des connaissances qui m’ont permises d’être au premier rang de l’Otorhinolaryngologie mondiale en participant à beaucoup de cours et congrès internationaux. Aussi, en présidant l’Institut, je voudrais transmettre la garantie que l’enseignement que recevront ses Membres, sera une plate-forme solide dans leur avenir professionnel.
Je remercie le Bureau International de me confier cette noble distinction et ferai de mon mieux pour tenir ce rôle important.

It’s an honor to be part of the Executive Board of the Georges Portmann Institute, a mandatory reference in the area of World Otolaryngology. The great reputation and history of over 100 years has forged worldwide prestige since its inception with Pr Emile Moure, followed by Pr Georges Portmann, Pr Michel Portmann and Dr Didier Portmann, where local and international learning is the guide for the road to be traveled.
I am receiving the International Presidency of the Portmann Institute from the Asian Continent, succeeding the brilliant role played by my predecessor Dr Charles Andrew Van Hasselt, 2005-2009 from Hong Kong.
The globalization of our times demands special dedication so that the knowledge of our specialty’s discipline can be shared immediately without any racial or belief barriers with the institute acting as a great forum through its courses and seminars.
During my stay in this great institution in the eighties, I was able to gain great knowledge that allowed me to be at the forefront of World Otolaryngology participating in many international courses and I would like to convey this experience to ensure that the education you will receive will be a solid platform for your professional career.
I would like to thank the Executive Committee for entrusting me with this noble distinction and I will be committed to give my best effort in this important task.
