What are audiometry's different types?
Audiometry is a tool assisted ENT checkup targetting one's hearing ability. The audiometrist will use several specific tool, such as an audiometer, to generate words or sounds and evaluate the patient's hearing ability. Two separate audiometries can be distinguished: objective audiometry and subjective audiometry. This science field is appropriate to detect hearing loss on children and adults as well as to estimate its extent. Audiometry is also of great help to differenciate perceptive deafness from transmission deafness.
